Jacquesson & Fils, founded in 1789 in the municipality of Dizy (near Epernay) by Claude Jacquesson Memmie and his son, is today one of the few champagne houses still remain in family hands. One of his most important contributions is the patent in 1884, the Muselets still prevents caps jump in the air. Jacquesson also characterized by vinification in oak and its low production: only 350,000 bottles a year.
