In 1998, Antoni Baste Garriga began to organize an estate of 11 hectares in the Priorat, due to his interest in making good wine and his friendship with growers in the area, now great names in the wine industry. Their first vintage in 1989, resulted in his first wine called "Clos Baste Krug". In 2001 the thrust of his sons Julien and Jeroni to bear fruit to the initial idea of the father entailed the expansion of the plantation by 2003 to count now has 15 hectares of vineyards planted with varieties more typical of the Priorat. Thus was born the company Celler de l'Abadia, whose name inspired on the cliff that surrounds the property, named among the elderly residents "torrent de l'Abadia". Today, the project also involves his daughter Alice in charge of the representation of winery abroad(France, Germany etc..).
