Bodega Blecua

Blecua is the result of what we call the "triple selection: vineyards, bunches and barrels". Viñas del Vero is now one of the extensions of vineyards more important of Spain, working on a total 1,000 hectares of which 750 are our property. So each year we select the seven best vineyards in four different grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and Tempranillo to establish the basis for our Blecua. Then, after careful manual harvesting these vineyards, and in the cellar, we select the best bunches. Subsequently, we started an artesanal process that culminates with the selection of the best barrels of each of these four varieties of grape. However, the final Blecua is made only with those casks that have passed various screening processes after a careful tasting conducted by the technical team and led by our winemaker, Peter Aibar. Thus, we get only a limited production wine that represents the best that Viñas del Vero was able to get every year.
