Bodega Ateca

Founded in 2005 in the town of Zaragoza Ateca, located fourteen miles from Calatayud, this young winery is part of the Golden Wines, driven empresarioD. Jorge Ordonez primarily to produce quality wines in different regions of Spain for the U.S. market. Like other wineries in this cluster, Ateca has a winemaker from the Antipodes, Australian Sarah Morris, who manages to perfection codes New World wines that demand in expanding markets. Hence, not surprising that 90% of production from Ateca is intended for export.
Ateca's treasure is its 85 hectares of old vines of Garnacha (with an average age of over fifty years) that grow on the hillsides of this area, with slate floors. The quality of the wines from this young winery is based on the meticulous work of grape selection, with high standards of analytical quality and organoleptic and vintage at the time of optimum maturity.
