Bodegas Alto Moncayo is situated in the Appellation of Origin Campo de Borja, was established in 2002 with the participation of Jorge Ordonez, recognized importer of Spanish wines in United States, Bodegas Borsao, and several domestic and foreign partners. It is a wine produced only where Grenache indigenous to the area under the leadership of the Australian winemaker Chris Ringland and winemaker of Bodegas Borsao, Jose Luis Chueca. Their goal: finding the best quality with the aim of becoming a global benchmark. On the basis of some of the oldest vineyards of the area, in total 60 hectares of vines of Grenache bush, planted decades ago on the slopes of the foothills of the Moncayo, this small winery was established in the OJ Campo de Borja, that markets its wines under three brands: 'Aquilon', 'Alto Moncayo' and 'Veraton.
