Under cover of the Protected Designation of Origin "Ribera del Guadiana" are more than 100 ha. vineyard of tempranillo, grenache, cabernet sauvignon, syrah and some traditional indigenous variety recovering. Roman testimonies land oozing, only 18 km from Merida in Alange. Horizons of soft clay hills, warm weather and endless sunsets. Vineyards located at an average altitude of 520m, with a continental climate with slight influences of ocean winds. This is a new experience and new challenge of the Alvear family in Extremadura. Founded in 1999, Palacio Quemado is an experience that seeks to obtain wines of exceptional quality of a soil associated to the centuries-old experience of the wineries Alvear. All knowledge in breeding and winemaking in the service of a new project based on quality, tradition and respect for the land. Any family history in the service of one hundred hectares of exceptional vineyards. All his efforts to get two wines develop with its own characteristics, marked by raw material and a careful breeding. A challenge for the clever combination of time, wood and meticulously prepared, thus giving rise to two wines from which they are proud: Palacio Quemado Crianza and Reserva Palacio Quemado.
