The winery Altavins Viticultors born with the desire to produce fine wines, taking advantage of the enormous potential of some of the properties located in the area of Terra Alta, situated in the south-west of Catalonia. The company was founded in 2001 by three wine lovers, D. Juan Bautista Arrufat, D. Jordi married and D. Xavier Array, with great interest and passion to enjoy wines from around the world. Originating in the region of Terra Alta from the outset believed in the great potential of this land, due to the quality of their vineyards, so bet to make their own wines.
They started off in 1999, have their own vineyards, some with over 30 years old, grown under strict quality controls and the warehouse is equipped with modern technology and an underground cellar where they rest in oak barrels, producing a high quality wines that have achieved various awards and prizes.
