Designed by famed French winemaker Pascal Delbeck in 1996, Abadia Retuerta winery is a stunning combination of tradition and modernity, being recognized as one of the most advanced wineries in Europe. It occupies an area of 10,000 m2 and it produces a limited production wine as favors quality over quantity. Emphasizes the use of gravity is all movements of the wine, the deposit system of cranes flying through the natural temperature control thanks to the hillside, the stunning park of 4,000 barrels stacked high, the patented extraction of wine, the laboratory gas chromatograph ... Currently, Angel Anocíbar Beloqui (Doctor of Oenology and Ampelología by the University of Bordeaux and Winemaker of the Year at the International Wine Challenge 2005) coordinates the entire process, from vineyard to bottle.
