Priorato

In the west of Ourense, in the riverbanks Avia and Minho Arnoya under a climate with Mediterranean influence, mild temperatures and significant rainfall, we find the Denomination of Origin Ribeiro.
The historic wine capital of this region is Ribadavia, ancient city surrounded by more than 3,000 hectares of vineyard located in river valleys on the slopes above and more sunny. The strains are raised so that the fruits are not in contact with the ground thus facilitating their healing and maturation.
The most typical grape varieties of this denomination of origin are: Treixadura, Loureira and streams between the white and Brancellao between Caine and inks. Also cultivated other non-native strains as Palomino and Alicante Bouschet (Grenache Tintorera).
The white wines of the Appellation of Origin Ribeiro are elegant, fresh, light, very aromatic and lively acidity, with an average ranking around 10 º. Its color is pale straw.
The reds are wines of great coat, a dark red color and remarkably lively acidity fixed.
