This grape is considered, after the Chardonnay, the finest variety among the white varieties. Its origin is from the Bordeaux region in France. It is a hardy plant. Has early budding. The cluster is medium in size and cylindrical shape. The berries are medium sized, round and golden yellow. It produces elegant wines, dry and acidic. Synonyms: Fume Blanc, Muscat and Sylvaner puinechou.
