Gewürztraminer

Grapes of Central Europe, used for the production of certain white wines of quality as those produced in the Alsace region in France and in some areas of Germany. In Spain also has been grown successfully in temperate areas as the Somontano and Penedes. The high level of natural sugar variety has popularized its use as a dessert wine and late harvest variety, obtained from grapes grown by the technique of noble rot. Traditionally, the wines made from this grape, are recommended to accompany fatty cheeses, like Munster, game meat or smoked fish such as salmon, being considered for the meals of Asian cuisine.
