Characteristics of Ron Legendario Añejo
Legendario rum is made by Almacenes ron Bocoy, and caused a boom is the consumption of spirits on the Island of Cuba. This rum is made by leaving the rums to age in oak barrels for a long period of time. To make it they use 47% of a solera aged for four years and 47% of a solera aged for 6 years, along with a small amount of moscatel wine. This rum remains in American oak barrels for 15 days. Before being bottled it is filtered, which is why it's so pure. The filtration techniques used are very old: filtration in double bottom tanks, the use of silica sand, activated carbon filtration, processing by gravity, etc.
