Quim Piera
Quim Piera graduated in Food Industry and specialised in Oenology and Winemaking at the School Jaume Ciurana in Falset, within the region of Priorat, and at the School of Winemaking and Oenology Mercè Rossell i Domènech in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, within the region of Penedès. He also undertook Sommelier courses at the Culinary Arts School of Castelldefels.
Quim has worked both in the vineyard and in winemaking in wineries placed within different designations of origin in Catalonia and in Spain in general: Mas dels Frares, D.O.Q Priorat, Clos Mogador, D.O.Q Priorat, Can Blau, D.O Montsant, Marco Abella, D.O.Q Priorat, Caves Llopart D.O Cava and Viñedos de Villaesterm, D.O Toro.
He has also worked in dissemination in Tarragona, where he coordinated guided tours in the Agricultural Coop. Falset-Marçà in the D.O. Montsant and organised tasting sessions in rural hostels and houses in the framework of the tourist promotion proyect "Introduction to wine tasting without moving from your rural accommodation".
Back in Barcelona, nowadays he organises private tastings for groups and also for some wineries in the city.
