Francisco Álvarez Cantos

Francisco runs the restaurant Casa de la Era since its founding in 1998. He runs it jointly with his wife Mamen S. Chinchilla, the chef of the restaurant. Both conceived, planned, designed, and finally set up the restaurant at home, in their big country house on the outskirts of Marbella. In 2004, they "took it out" of their house in order to build a new one from the scratch, next to the centennial threshing floor (era) after which it is called, and still within the same plot that their house. Francisco has always been fond of good food and the best wines and he has taken part in several tasting courses. Nowadays, he cooperates with the gastronomy section of the magazine Prestige, published in Puerto Banus and specialised in the world of arts.
