Characteristics of Rafael Cambra Dos

Rafael Cambra Dos is a red wine from Valencia developed by Rafael Cambra. This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (40%), Cabernet Franc (40%) and Monastrell (20%).

The vineyards of the winery are located in the Sierra l'Ombria, in the town of Fontanars. The climate is Mediterranean and soils are sandy. The harvest is done with boxes with eight kilos of capacity so that grains do not break before reaching the winery. In the same vineyard a first selection process is performed.

Rafael Cambra Dos undergoes fermentation at a controlled temperature of 28 degrees for about two weeks. During the course of this time daily pumpings are made.

Before bottling, Rafael Cambra Dos lies for about ten months in French oak barrels. Of these ten, four are spent with its lees.

Rafael Cambra applies the philosophy of minimum intervention. Their wines are mainly based on the Monastrell, to which will be added other varieties depending on the product.

Tasting notes Rafael Cambra Dos

Sight Cherry red with violet hues, very clean. Nose Fruity aromas and spicy notes. Creamy balsamic touches on a delicate background. Taste Intense and fruity, it is also creamy. It presents an optimal acidity and remarkable balsamic. It is fresh and shows sweet and well integrated tannins. Broad and persistent finish.
Sight Intense cherry red with violet edges. A bright and clean wine.
Nose Intense aromas of juicy and flavourful fruit. The intensity of the ripe red fruit are nuanced by the spicy aromas, the elegant toasted notes and the intense creamy milky touches. Delicate balsamic undertones. Taste It has a good and intense attack, with very tasty and creamy notes of fruit coating the mouth from the beginning. Excellent acidity, which along with the balsamic aromas (basically menthol), provides the wine with very good freshness. Sweet and well integrated tannins. A very nice, long and lingering finish.

Sight Dark cherry colour with violet trims. Legs that dye the glass. Nose Aromatic and powerful intensity. Lots of ripe fruits that stand out on a background of spicy and roasted notes provided by the oak. Some dairy touches. Taste Nice, fresh and powerful attack. Meaty and tasty mid palate, with a good charge of fruit (ripe red fruit) and fine hints of very varietal balsamic and spicy flavours. Intense and concentrated wine. Round tannins. Long and persistent finish. A very pleasant wine that invites to have another glass.
