Characteristics of Prisa Mata
Natural wine by the winery Naranjuez, a small winery from Granada, with barely 2 hectares, founded by Antonio Vílchez. This wine is made of Tempranillo (40%), Cabernet Sauvignon (15%), Cabernet Franc (15%), Merlot (15%), Pinot Noir (10%) and Grenache (5%).
In the nose, it turns out to be complex. Absence of fruity aromas but it has tea, cinnamon, varnish and animal notes. It is not an easy wine.
We are in front of a minority (only 5,000 bottles) but well done wine, subject to the organic farming's budgets.
The grape harvest is conducted manually. The maceration lasts between 6-8 days. It is bottled unfiltered and without any added sulfurous. The wine is aged for 12 months in European oak barrels.
