Oriol Rosell Gran Reserva Extra Brut 2010 is a Cava from Cava produced by the Oriol Rossell winery. This is a family business that has been dedicated to making wine for over a century, particularly since 1908. It is located in La Gornal, Upper Penedès (Barcelona).

Oriol Rosell Gran Reserva Extra Brut is made from the Xaral·lelo and Macabeo.

The grapes come from vineyards of 85ha located halfway between the Upper and Lower Penedès, between the coastal mountains of north and south of Litroal, 1km from the Mediterranean Sea. This location gives a very particular climate to the vineyard, from which wines with personality emerge.

Regarding its preparation, Oriol Rosell Gran Reserva Extra Brut 2010 ages in the bottle for about 30-48 months.

Sight Straw yellow with golden reflections. Very clean and bright. Nose Intense, fruity, citrus, floral and herbaceous aromas. Elegant and structured. Taste Good entry, very balanced and intense. Citrus flavours, nuts and pastry notes. High persistence.

Straw yellow with golden hues, clean and bright with a fine bubble, persistent and slow release.

Nose Elegant and complex aromas with plenty of nice and powerful aging notes which also started very ripe white fruits. Taste All flavors that we found in the nose blend and balance and give a feeling of fullness and highly complex. Long finish where aromas of toast and nuts.

Winery Oriol Rosell

Cava was born under the constant shadow of its French counterpart, Champagne. However, produced over 1,200km away and a gap of over 100 years, Cava was always going to be a completely different product, even if produced using the same method and and sometimes with the same varieties. Firstly the climate and soil have a profound impact on the yields, while the plant strains that thrive here and completely different to those in the Champagne region. Fortunately, as more winemakers are becoming convinced of this, they are producing Cavas with their own personality, showing off the art of the second fermentation in the bottle like no other wine region in the world.
