Characteristics of Juvé y Camps Reserva de la Familia

Juvé & Camps Reserva de la Familia is a cava produced by a family run winery Juvé & Camps, situated in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia in D.O. Cava.
Juvé & Camps maintains the same production process that their ancestors used 200 years ago. A traditional process that results in excellent cavas of international fame.
Juvé & Camps Reserva de la Familia is a cava brut nature and a coupage of Macabeo, Parellada and Xarel·lo varieties grown on their own diverse estates all located in the Penedès.
The harvest is done by hand and the grapes are transported quickly to the winery in order to preserve the freshness.
Once they have the must it is aged in dark and silent caves for a minimum of 36 month and each bottle is moved by hand in its wooden frame.
A very fine and elegant cava.

Tasting notes Juvé y Camps Reserva de la Familia

Sight Pretty pale golden colour with abundant and fine bubbles. Nose On the nose it is very fruity. White fruit with pear, melon and citrus fruits like grapefruit and lemon. It grows in complexity and shows hits of honey, nuts and some pastries. Taste On the palate the result is very pleasant with well integrated carbon. The aromas that are presented on the nose are also on the palate with a dominance of citrus fruits and some floral notes.
Sight

Cava equipped with a bright and attractive pale gold color. Its tiny and abundant bubbles, forming numerous amount rosaries and, once on the surface, form a stable crown.

Nose

Deep, intense and pleasant initially evokes notes of ripe white fruits. Gradually growing complexity and aromas are typical of a long aging process. Memories of toast and some citrus completes his distinguished background aroma.

Taste

The creaminess of the foam fits perfectly on the palate, making its passage through the mouth is simultaneously fresh, desirable and glamorous. All smells are perceived in the cup on display in its long finish.

Winery Juvé y Camps

Cava was born under the constant shadow of its French counterpart, Champagne. However, produced over 1,200km away and a gap of over 100 years, Cava was always going to be a completely different product, even if produced using the same method and and sometimes with the same varieties. Firstly the climate and soil have a profound impact on the yields, while the plant strains that thrive here and completely different to those in the Champagne region. Fortunately, as more winemakers are becoming convinced of this, they are producing Cavas with their own personality, showing off the art of the second fermentation in the bottle like no other wine region in the world.
