Characteristics of Jequitibá

Jequitibá is a white wine produced in La Rioja by Olivier Riviere.

Olivier Riviere arrived in Logroño to work with Telmo Rodriguez on his La Rioja project. His career was already extensive, he studied in Bordeos and worked in the area’s wineries, then went to Borgoña to work in Domaine Leroy, one of the area’s most important wineries that works in biodynamics.

Jequitibá is made from vineyards in Labastida planted on clay-lime soil, with theViura variety as the main protagonist (85%), accompanied by the Malvasía and Garnacha Blanca. The grape is pressed and the must is left to ferment in 500 litre barrels where it ages for 10 months.
