Characteristics of Gramona Argent Rosé

Gramona Argent Rosé is a rosé cava brut nature gran reserva from the D.O Cava produced by Gramona. This is a monovarietal of Pinot Noir.

There is a very laborious work involved in finding bunches of grapes that have achieved an optimum point of ripening and subsequently they are picked by hand.

Once at the winery, Gramona Argent Rosé is fermented in 600 litre French oak barrels at a controlled temperature of 15ºC. This method allows for a perfect fusion between aromas and tastes.

Finally, before being sold on the market, Gramona Argent Rosé is aged in the bottle for 30 months.

This is an elegant and exclusive cava, only 4000 bottles were produced.

The first bottles produced by Gramona, a Spanish winery with a great pedigree, has been producing wine for over 125 years. Their products are today a standard bearer on an international level.

Sight Pink colour with salmon undertones. Nose Light and elegant, presence of floral and ripened white fruits. Taste An attractive acidity and dry. Presence of fruity notes and a light floral base.

Sight Bright onion skin colour with thin bubbles that form a good crown on the surface. Nose Its elegant and creamy notes of baked cakes are noticed along with some expressive hints of fruit forming a very harmonious set. The fresh notes of citrus and white fruit along with its subtle floral hints form an elegant and deep background. Taste Cava with a wide attack, which fills the mouth with elegant fruity sensations well integrated with its gourmand notes of confectionery. It shows very well integrated bubbles and a fresh and dry mid palate. It has an excellent and balanced acidity and a very good lingering finish reminiscent of fresh fruit and flowers.
Sight A gorgeous pale pink colour with salmon nuances. Nose Excellent aromatic intensity with light and elegant floral background (poppy petals), fine pastry aromas (pumpkin and
syrup pastry filling, puff pastries, etc.), perfectly assembled with ripe white fruit and bigarreau cherry skin aromas. Surprises
come in the form of a chalk aroma and the depth of its entire ensemble.
Taste Rich attack, exciting and arousing, with a pleasantly dry finish. An all-encompassing density. The foam melts in the mouth, leaving a reminiscence of the cuvée fruits and a light floral background.

Winery Gramona

Cava was born under the constant shadow of its French counterpart, Champagne. However, produced over 1,200km away and a gap of over 100 years, Cava was always going to be a completely different product, even if produced using the same method and and sometimes with the same varieties. Firstly the climate and soil have a profound impact on the yields, while the plant strains that thrive here and completely different to those in the Champagne region. Fortunately, as more winemakers are becoming convinced of this, they are producing Cavas with their own personality, showing off the art of the second fermentation in the bottle like no other wine region in the world.
