Elias i Terns Gran Reserva is a Gran Reserva cava produced in a handcrafted manner with selected and harvested grapes from the winery's centenarian vines. Wine made of Xarel·lo and Macabeo grapes and fermented in oak barrels.

Tasting notes Elias i Terns Gran Reserva

Sight Bright straw yellow colour with golden reflections. Cava with thin bubbles that form a subtle bubble chain that slowly forms a thin crown on the surface. Nose Intense aromas in which the notes provided by the oak nuance the aromas of white fruit that are found in the background. Wine with many creamy notes, aromas of nuts (walnuts and hazelnuts), vanilla and toasted hints. Very elegant. Taste Very elegant cava with a good attack and a very thin and integrated fizziness. It is very rich in nuances. Creamy, meaty and embracing palate with a good acidity. Its persistant finish leaves an aftertaste full of nuts, toasted notes and subtle mineral hints.

Winery Parató

Cava was born under the constant shadow of its French counterpart, Champagne. However, produced over 1,200km away and a gap of over 100 years, Cava was always going to be a completely different product, even if produced using the same method and and sometimes with the same varieties. Firstly the climate and soil have a profound impact on the yields, while the plant strains that thrive here and completely different to those in the Champagne region. Fortunately, as more winemakers are becoming convinced of this, they are producing Cavas with their own personality, showing off the art of the second fermentation in the bottle like no other wine region in the world.
