Characteristics of Corazón Loco Tinto

Corazón Loco Tinto is a young red wine from Manchuela produced by Bodegas Iniesta. This winery has been producing wines since 2000 under the direction of Jose Antonio Iniesta in Fuentealbilla (Albacete).

Corazón Loco Tinto is a blend of Tempranillo (50%) and Syrah (50%). The grapes come from different vineyards of between 5 and 30 years, planted on soils of clay loam texture on terraced hillsides with south-west orientation.

The high altitude at which the vines are planted, about 770m above sea level, makes them withstand high temperature fluctuations between day and night. In addition, they have a 3000h of sunshine per year.

The development of Corazón Loco Tinto begins with "Boreal", a system that lowers the temperature of the grapes to prevent oxidation and fully preserve the aromas of each variety. Subsequently, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 21 days with selected yeasts at 25 ° C.

Tasting notes Corazón Loco Tinto

Sight Cherry red with violet edges. Medium-high. Nose Good aromatic intensity, presence of red fruits (raspberries, cherries) on a mint background. Floral notes, liquorice and cocoa. Taste Warm, tasty and fruity. Sweet tannins and good acidity. Long finish. An easy-drinking wine.
Sight Intense violet red colour. Nose On the nose there are raspberry, cherry and blackberry aromas with violet, cocoa and liquorice notes. Taste On the palate it is fresh, fruity and tasty. Persistent finish. A wine that is easy and pleasant to drink.
Sight Dark picota cherry colour with violet reflections. Clean and bright with fine, slightly tinted tears showing on the glass. Nose Intense aromas of ripe red fruit, raspberries, cherries and blackberries combine with floral notes, violets and slightly mineral notes. Taste Fresh, fruity and tasty on the palate. Similar to its nose. Long and persistent, this red wine is easy and enjoyable to drink.
Sight Intense cherry red colour with violet edges. Clean and bright. Abundant tears. Nose Intense and clean aromas with an important load of notes of fresh and sweet fruit, mainly red, with a sweety touch. Light and subtle floral aromas. Taste Lots of balanced, light and smooth notes of fruit. Light, well balanced and very fresh wine with a good acidity. Very nice. Its floral and mineral touches round out this silky wine. Its good finish, leaves final fruity notes. An easy-drinking, very nice and fresh wine.

Winery Iniesta

Over the past few years, the DO Manchuela has worked extensively on improving the quality of its wines, and it’s clear that its efforts have paid off. Improved technological advances and greater knowledge in the cultivation of their vineyards have launched the region into a new era. The wines produced here are enjoyed both in the domestic and the international market, which 80% of production sold internationally. Harvests are now carried out slightly sooner to produce slightly subtler wines, with the skins being separated from the must to get more subdued colours, while the wines are cold stabilized and undergo fermentation in controlled temperatures, in search for fruity aromas.
