Top 100 Wineries in the World 2014, according to WAWWJ

A few days ago the World Association of Wine Writers and Journalists (WAWWJ) published, as has become a tradition, a list of the top 100 wineries in 2014, in which was a good representation of Spanish wineries.

The preparation of this list is done by counting the results obtained on the wines from each winery at different international competitions during the previous year.

As we mentioned, the role of our wineries is outstanding,  achieving results of no less than 18 companies in the top 100 on the global wine scene, which places Spain as the leader of the country classification.

From the top 100 wineries in the world, we have selected some of our favourites, such as Gonzalez Byass which was ranked 6th or Bodegas Lustau which was ranked 33rd. These are the two best exponents of sherry.

We must also acknowledge the appointment of other heavy weights such as Codorniu, Ramon Bilbao or Olarra. A long list of great wineries that you cannot miss!
