Solanera 2012. 94 Parker Points at a scandalous price!

According to the dictionary of the RAE (Real Academia Española), the word solanera  refers to a place that is not protected from sunshine, with excessive light and heat.

Welcoming this excess, Bodegas Castaño brings us Solanera 2012. A true reflection of the heat, the power, the passion and the terroir that wines from Murcia are capable of offering us.

Solanera 2012, Bodegas Castaño

We could begin to describe Solanera 2012 from many different angles, but we always end up talking about its incredibly good value for money. This fantastic wine from the DO Yecla has no less than 94 Parker Points under its arm, and only costs €9.75. Spectacular!

Solanera 2012 is a blend of monastrell, cabernet sauvignon and garnacha tintorera from vineyards between 15 and 40 years old, planted at 800 metres altitude. After the fermentation the wine ages in French and American oak barrels for ten months.

This wonderful red wine shows all kinds of aromas…black forest fruit jam, graphite, flowers, liquorice… In the mouth, full-bodied, structured and powerful. A wine to be paired with red meat and very strong sauces.

One of the biggest surprises we’ve discovered recently.

Hurry up and grab a bottle of this absolute steal before it sells out, as the number of bottles available is very limited.
