La Planta 2012, Grand Gold Medal winner in Mundus Vini competition

Good news for Bodegas Arzuaga who, a few days ago, were presented with nothing less than a Grand Gold Medal in the Mundus Vini International Competition, held in Germany.

The winning wine turns out to be La Planta 2012, a Tempranillo single-varietal briefly aged for 6 months in French and American oak barrels.

Arzuaga Narvarro’s “baby” is a young wine, full of fruit, but elegant and structured at the same time. However, its complexity and body are the two features that the Mundus Vini wine-tasters have cited as the main factors making this wine worthy of a gold medal.

We recommend pairing La Planta 2012 with meaty sauces, sausages and rice.
