New wines for August

This month’s release, which is the hottest month of the year! And at Decantalo we want to make the most of this opportunity to recommend to you a few new wines that only in the last few weeks have become a part of our family of over 2,500 Spanish wines.

Don’t miss out on some of our favourite wines, this month with a special emphasis on white wines. New vintages and brilliant wines, now available on our website, go get them!

Miranius 2013.We joyfully welcome this new arrival from Miranius, a new wine from Celler Credo, in the Penedés, this is one of the benchmark wineries most notably for its organic wine. A blend of Xarel·lo with a small percentage of Macabo, balanced and full of personality.

L‘Efecte Volador 2014. From the D.O Montsant, we highlight this new vintage from one the “sons” of the oenologist Josep Grau. A blend of Grenache,  Cariñena and Syrah. Full-bodied, mineral and very juicy.

Volver 2013. A new vintage from one our favourite wine from La Mancha. Volver 2013 is 100% Tempranillo produced on the estate “Los Juncares” unded the eagle eyed Jorge Ordoñez. Juicy, ripe, balsamic and well-structured.

Predicador 2013. From one great oenologist to another. This time, we present to you the new vintage from Predicador 2013, by the great Benjamín Romeo. A great wine, reaching the same heights of previous vintages, despite the year being such a difficult harvest in La Rioja.

Remírez de Ganuza Blanco 2013. We remain firmly in D.O La Rioja, to highlight this new white wine from Bodegas Remírez de Ganuza. Fermented and aged for 8 months, Remírez de Ganuza Blanco 2013, is a  structured and creamy wine that replaces Erre Punto Blanco.

El Castro de Valtuille Mencía Joven 2014. We now travel to the D.O Bierzo to present to you this new vintage from the wonderful Mencía produced by the oenologist Raúl Pérez. A young, fruity, juicy and very fresh wine that offers a lot more than you would expect for the price.

Leirana Albariño 2014. The new vintage, and this is one of the sensational wines from the D.O Ríás Baixas. Wide and persistent, 100% Albariño, furthermore was named nothing less that the “Best wine from Rías Baixas” for its 2012 vintage. How could you want to pass this opportunity up?

Dido Blanc 2014. Let’s keep highlighting some white wines, the arrival on the market for this  Dido Blanco 2014 is well worth a review. A blend of Grenacha Blanca, Macabeo and a ripe Xarel·lo, mineral and very persistent.

Les Terrasses 2013. From D.O Montsant we travel to its next door neighbour in the DOCa Priorat to present this new vintage from Terrasses 2013, from the oenologist Álvaro Palacios. An intense, wide and very well-blanced wine that relects the Priorat like no one else.

Nelín 2013. This is our farewell for our recommendations for this month, so let’s stay in the Priorat one time more. This time, we want to show you the arrival of Nelín 2013, from the winery Clos Mogador, this has been a standout winery in the Priorat for more than 30 years. We stand before a simply magnificent wine that is like no other; authentic, expressing to the maximum its terroir.
